Why is it that only 10% of professional women are “very confident” in their ability to fully retire with a comfortable lifestyle?  Why are we so worried about our financial security?  These are intelligent, high-earning, hardworking women and yet many feel they are not where they should be financially.  They also feel that they do not have the power to change that.  Unfortunately fear, shame and anger are the biggest obstacles to developing wealth.  Is it because we are planners or so independent that we want to make sure we can not only do it all on our own but do it well?  Or are we miserable in our current occupation and have dreams of starting another profession and worried about how we will be able to support ourselves?

We end up on this never ending treadmill and don’t know how to get off.  There are solutions but you need do get clear on a few things first.

  1. What do you want your life to look like?  What’s important to you?  Where do you see yourself in 3, 5 and 10 years and prioritize your goals
  2. Where are you financially right now?  Track your spending for 3 months.  Once you know where you spend your money, you can choose to spend it on goals that are more important to you
  3. Where do you see your career from a financial and lifestyle standpoint?  What about your quality of life?
  4. You need a plan of action.  To turn your financial security into reality, you need to write your goals.  Where you are right now and actionable steps to get you to where you want to be

You can change your financial situation and remove the anxiety and shame you feel in a very short period of time and have the peace of mind that you long for.  Possibly you need a business coach or a financial planner.  If I can be of any help, I know some fabulous coaches and planners and would be happy to give you some names.
